I’m Not Perfect How About You?

(Rom 7:18)  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I do not find.

Every time you turn on the TV or go online these days there’s another scandal unfolding. Governor Cuomo, Deshaun Watson, Matt Gaetz, Kirk Franklin and the problems he’s having with his oldest son. What amazes me is how judgmental people become like they are Peter or Patty Perfect. The Bible says (Rom 3:23) for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, that includes you and I.

To this day Jerusalem is still referred to as The City of David yet David committed Adultery and Murder he even impregnated the woman whom he committed Adultery with. People talk about Kirk Franklin cursing yet not only did The Apostle Peter curse but he denied even knowing Jesus three times. Finally, the Apostle Paul who some credit with writing as much as two thirds of The New Testament. Yet read what he says (Rom 7:18) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I do not find. However, everyone I just mentioned did great and mighty things in spite of their flaws and so can you and I in spite of ours.

I’m first to admit that I daily need God’s Grace and Mercy because I to am flawed and whether or not you want to admit it so are you!!! None of us are perfect and we all need improvement in one area of our lives or another. You may not lie, cheat or steal. You may not have a drug problem, or sex problem, or anger problem but whether you want to admit or not you have some flaw or quirk that you need to address. Whenever we see or hear of someone falling short and failing in whatever area they fail in. First of all we should Thank God for keeping us then we should remember all parties concerned in our prayers because the next time it could be you Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
