Get Up!!!!

(Joh 5:8) Jesus said to him, Rise up, Take up your cot and walk!

8 (AMP) Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk!

In the book of John Chapter 5 verses 1-9 we find an interesting story there was a pool located in the city of Bethesda that was known for it’s healing properties. At a certain time, an angel would agitate the water. Whenever the water was agitated whomever entered the pool first was healed of whatever infirmity, disease or sickness they had. In our story there is a man who had an infirmity for 38 years he was lying by the pool side waiting to be thrown in whenever the water would be agitated. One day Jesus is passing by he notices the man lying there knowing that he’d been there for a long period of time. Jesus asks him “Do You Desire to become well”?

Instead of the man responding yes, he begins to vent explaining how he didn’t have anyone to help him get into the pool. Every time the water is agitated someone gets in the pool before him. Doesn’t that sound a lot like you and I? Sometimes we’ve been in a situation so long or had a problem so long. We may have been depressed so long or single so long, or broke so long, or unemployed so long. When help finally shows up and presents itself to us we don’t even recognize it. Jesus however does not coddle or comfort the man he doesn’t respond by giving him words of comfort. Jesus instructs the man to take action (Joh 5:8) Jesus said to him, Rise up, Take up your cot and walk! I like what it says in the Amplified version of the Bible it says that Jesus said “Get Up”

The Holy Spirit today is telling many of us to “Get Up”!!!! We’ve been stagnant way too long. Whatever situation or problem you may be facing it’s been time for you to “Get Up”!!! Stop having an endless pity party daily saying woe is me. Stop making excuses because “Greater is He” that is in you than any sickness, problem, or situation you may be facing. Remember that you yes you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You can’t and won’t do it in your own strength. If you don’t know him today right now is a Great time to accept Christ as your own personal savior (Joh 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Joh 3:17) For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. God wants to save and deliver you from any type of mess or situation you may find yourself in. Right now, today at this moment Get Up, Get Up, Get Up!!!! Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike
