In recent years there have been well known individuals that were once born again Christians who have gone on record saying that they no longer believe in God. They have cited various reasons as to why they no longer believe. My first reaction is that it’s evident they were never really believers in the first place. As the older saints used to say they had a Head knowledge not a Heart knowledge. They probably read the Bible went to church and at some point were emotionally moved to the point were they became Christians. However, they never really accepted The Lord in their heart. They never experienced the reality of the Holy Spirit moving on the inside of them from day to day. It’s sad to hear when people leave the Faith especially those who at one point in their lives were well known Christians.
Christianity is all about Faith along with relationship. In our text Job in the midst of his sufferings declares that he knew that his redeemer lives. During his time of intense and unbearable suffering it would be easy to doubt and stop believing in God yet he does the opposite he in fact makes a declaration. For believers it’s all about Faith along with our daily walk with the Lord. In the Bible we have Hebrews 11 the Faith chapter (Heb 11:1 MKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. As Christians we believe that Yeshua Jesus The Christ came into this world born of a virgin suffered, bled, and died. He was buried in a tomb three days later he arose from the dead, he ascended into heaven and soon very soon he will return with all power in his hands.
Our Faith along with life experiences reminds us of the reality and existence of God. The word becomes alive and real to us through our daily walk with God. We look back over our lives and remember events and times where the only thing we can attribute how we got through them or how we were saved from something was God. We can or should remember times where we clearly felt God warning us or speaking to us. In some cases it’s man’s own pride and arrogance that allows them to doubt the existence of God. The Word of God says that God created the Heavens and the Earth no one has ever proven otherwise no matter what they cite or say.
The old saints used to sing a song “ You can’t make me doubt him I know to much about him”. They had too many experiences too many answered prayers too many times that God came through for them. God was real because he was ever present in their lives. I often quote my Grand Dad who I never met in the flesh who I hope to meet one day when this old world ends and the new one is ushered in. He’s quoted as saying “What if you wait until Judgment Day to find out that the Bible is right it would be too late for you to do anything about your soul” God is real if you are reading this and don’t know the Lord in the pardon of your sins.
(Joh 3:16 MKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(Joh 3:17 MKJV) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. God Loves you he sent his son to die for all of mankind and that includes you accept this fact through Faith today once you do you’ll have so much to look forward to.
