(Rev 21:3) And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. (Rev 21:4) And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away.
Each day that we are blessed to see and experience is another day closer to our Lord’s return. At the same time each day people die or transition and leave this life. It is interesting how people can live their lives not realizing that one day this life as we know it will come to an end. There are people who carelessly live their lives not realizing that at any moment it could come to an end. When we leave this life we either transition from this life which for everyone is coming to an expected close. We either find ourselves in the presence of The Lord or in Hell. Those are the options for everyone.
Personally, I’m recovering from COVID 19 and at the same time dealing with other health issues. I along with others who are praying with and for me are believing God for total and complete healing. However, should the Lord return I am more than ready. Tomorrow is promised to no one so the person in the hospital in ICU has just as much chance to see another day as any healthy individual. When we leave this earth whether by death, transition, or the Lord’s return we go from time to eternity. My question for you are you ready for eternity? Have you put any thought as to where you’ll spend eternity or forever?
I’ve found it interesting how many Christians are not ready or even expecting the Lord’s return. We should always be mindful of two things first that tomorrow is not promised secondly at any time our Lord may return. Are you prepared for either event? Our scripture text informs us that God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away. What an awesome time that will be no more suffering, no more sickness, no more pain, no more death. Man I am so looking forward to that what a time that’s going to be!!!! For those who believe in Christ this is what we have to look forward to. If the Bible is right as I believe and trust that it is there are definitely better days ahead. However, if you have not accepted Christ as your savior when you leave this life you will be headed for judgment.
No matter how long you live on this earth it pales in comparison to eternity or forever. Time will be no more time and eternity has no end. How much thought have you put into eternity or forever? Should your life end today or the Lord returns are you ready? Have you prepared yourself for the life to come? Have you prepared yourself for eternity or forever? It has been said that people who were alive when Israel became a nation in 1948 some of them will probably be living when our Lord returns. All signs point to the Lord’s imminent return.
