(Mat 6:26) Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?
My mom was a very loving and caring person she was one of those neighborhood moms caring for everyone. She would often send me and others to the store to buy food for the birds. I never put too much thought into it until recently. Four years ago, the lord blessed us with our current home it’s in an area that can be best described as blend of rural and urban. With that being said there is a lot of wildlife around us. I’ve been told that there are more than 52 species of birds in the area. So, we decided to buy a bird house to feed the birds.
What I find so amazing is that all kinds of birds stop buy to eat the seed in the bird house. Our bird house provides proof that the words found in our scripture text are true. I’m sure there is some scientific explanation as to how birds from all over find our bird house. However, in my mind our scripture text holds the real answer. God points each and every bird to our house when there is food there for them. Those birds are a constant reminder a constant natural sermon that the God of the universe who created the heavens and the earth. That same God not only cares and provides for the birds of the air he also cares for you and for me.
So, no matter who you are and where you are no matter what you’re facing remember that God knows what you’re going through. Are you not better than the birds of the air? You’re created in the very image of God and he loves you so much. Cheer up and know that your circumstances are going to change. Repent of your sins and short comings look to God to help you with whatever you are facing and going through. Don’t let satan cause you to doubt the promises of God. Hang in there and hold on you may have been going through a difficult time for some time now but just know that a change is going to come. Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
