(Luke 21:11) And great earthquakes shall be in different places, and famines and plagues. And there shall be terrors and great signs from Heaven.
(Matthew 5:45) so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Natural disasters have been prominent in our news as well as our conversations a lot lately. With Hurricanes and earthquakes causing major damage and loss of life around the globe. It is no wonder that people are concerned. However, for those who know The Lord these events have come as no surprise while the when and where are not foretold. The Word of God informs us that these things would come as The Lord’s return draws ever so near.
What I do find interesting is the scene I saw on the Internet of believers praising God and praying prior to Hurricane Irma. It was just after this event that the storm changed course. You cannot tell me that this was not a result of God hearing the prayers of his people. Yes, Irma came and there was destruction however nowhere near what was predicted. Our relationship with God often determines how disasters personally affect us. At the same time Matthew 5:45 reminds us that both sunshine and rain falls on the just as well as the unjust. It’s called life.
Our troubles and trials in life are often compared to natural disasters. The storms of life, fair weather friends, yet we also refer to showers of blessings sent from the lord. How we react to natural or life’s disasters are often a reflection of both our relationship and Faith in God. Who reins in our lives determines how we react to the rain and storms of our lives. Now is the time to make sure that you know the lord and more importantly that he knows you. The prayers of the righteous spared many during these past disasters. Those prayers will be needed as the worst is yet to come. And there shall be terrors and great signs from Heaven there is more to come. Are you ready? Are you prepared for what’s next?
Just look at the two prior verses to Luke 21:11 (Luke 21:9) But when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified, for all these things must first occur, but the end is not at once. (Luke 21:10) And He said to them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. These are definitely the times that we are living in. My question to you is do you have the super natural protection that is needed in times such as these? (John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The Lord can and will save us from both eternal death, but also from the storms of life both natural or otherwise Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
