(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.(John 3:18) He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Years ago, there were a series of PSAs that aired on TV which stated that “Friends don’t let Friends Drive Drunk”. The idea was to help save lives because so many were being lost as a result of people driving under the influence of alcohol. The message was if you knew someone be they a friend or relative who had too much to drink. The right thing to do was to take their keys from them and drive yourself, call a cab or do whatever was needed in order to assure the public as well as their safety by not allowing them to drive drunk.
For those of us who are Christians we all have friends and loved ones that we know, who don’t know the Lord in the pardon of their sins. We say that we love them and yet never share the gospel with them in any fashion. We may tell them about job openings if they are in need of a job. We may tell them who’s having a big sell in order that they can save money. We may even introduce them to someone if they are single. Why are we and yes, I said we, why are we so reluctant to introduce people to Christ? We say that we love and care for people, yet we won’t introduce them to Christ the most important introduction we could ever make.
I consider myself to be a cerebral and thinking person. To me Christianity makes sense as the seasons change yearly to me that in and of itself is a sign that after things die there is some form of a rebirth. I’ve often quoted my Grand Dad whom I hope to meet one day over in glory. He would often say “What if the Bible is right and you wait until judgment day to find out it would be too late to do anything about your soul”. If you are reading this blog and don’t believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. Are you so sure of what happens to all once they leave this life? Are you so sure there is no God or that the Bible is some manmade fantasy? Are you really willing to take that risk?
Our scripture text is pretty clear God sent his son so that all of mankind through him might have everlasting life. Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world he came to save us all. However, if you refuse to believe you condemn yourself because God made things pretty simple. He doesn’t ask very much of us just believe in Jesus Christ. There are some who don’t believe in hell but my question to you is why risk it? Why take the risk as my Grand Dad would say that the Bible is right and there is a hell? Hell is not a popular topic these days there are some who say that when Jesus died, he paid the debt for all of mankind whether they believed in him or not. Therefore, we all go to heaven. I totally disagree there has to be something waiting for those who have lived their lives exacting evil on all those who unfortunately crossed their paths. There has to be a special place for people such as Adolf Hitler the monsters of the present as well as the past. There has to be a place where those who have made life Hell for others while they were alive on this earth. There has to be a place where justice is finally served. There will be some who have earned ever second that they are in Hell throughout all eternity. Then there will be others who are there because they rejected Christ.
If you are a Facebook Friend of mine or an actual friend maybe even a relative. If you don’t believe in God, I challenge you today. Many of you know I’m a PK Preacher’s Kid I was raised on the Word of God. I gave my life to the lord at the age of 11 however it was many years later that my Faith became really real to me. There have been times in my life where the only thing I could do was pray and hope for the best. You see when you are a Christian the demons of Hell will find out whether you really are or not. They will spend time giving you as much Hell here on earth as possible. That being said if you don’t believe in God, I challenge you to truly seek him out. There are so many ways that he can and will reveal his existence to you, however you must truly be willing to accept the fact that he is real. (Isa 55:6) Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
