(John 10:9) I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture. (John 10:10) The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:11) I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Why did Jesus come? The answer is very plain very simple. Jesus came into this world to Die!!!! In Genesis 3 Satan entered the paradise of The Garden of Eden with stealing, killing, and destroying God’s relationship with all of mankind on his mind. He felt that by deceiving Eve the relationship between God and Mankind would be permanently destroyed. Satan never experienced Grace because he was and is so evil that he could never humble himself enough to receive it. He was and is totally incapable of remorse. That’s why God had to kick him along with those other angels aligned with him out of heaven.
God knowing all things the beginning as well as the end. He knew what satan had planned for mankind and from the beginning of time had in place a plan for man’s redemption. Jesus came into this world to die he exacted God’s plan to bring fallen man back into fellowship with him. Satan felt that once man disobeyed God that was it. Mankind would no longer exist they would die off the face of the earth. However, God loved mankind so much that he sent his son.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(John 3:17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
(Joh 3:18) He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Jesus died so that we might have life and have it more abundantly as stated in our scriptural text. This scripture is often used to let people know that God does not want us to suffer in this life which is true. However, it also goes much further Jesus came to die so that you and I would have a future beyond our days here on earth. He died so that you and I would be able to obtain Everlasting Life. Life free from sickness, disappointment, death and pain. It is so easy to get caught up in the cares of this life and forget that there are better days ahead. A time is coming when as the saints of my childhood say “There will be no more Good Bye Everyday will be Howdy, Howdy”. Oh what a time that will be to be reunited with friends and loved ones who have gone on before.
There is a way to make sure you are one of those who will be free from suffering, death, sickness and pain. Jesus said that whoever believes in him would not perish but have everlasting life. Do You Believe in Him? Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike
