The Real Challenge

(Matthew 24:11) And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.
(Matthew 24:12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.

Recently people all over have been caught up in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge it is amazing how wide and rapidly it has spread. On the surface it appears harmless and for a good cause however with all things in some cases it has been taken too far. Then there are those who have linked it to the Illuminati and the New World Order. Check out this article “ The Illuminati’s Ice Bucket Challenge ‘Purifying America’ Before The ‘Great Human Sacrifice’”

ALS is a dreadful disease and raising funds to find a cure is a worthy cause. However what is so sad is that many who profess Christ look more to pharmaceuticals and modern medicine for the curing of disease than the Great Physician. In Ezekiel we find these words (Ezekiel 34:2) Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? (Ezekiel 34:3) You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you kill the fat ones, but you do not feed the flock. (Ezekiel 34:4) You have not made the weak strong, nor have you healed the sick, nor have you bound up the broken. You have not brought again those driven away, nor have you sought that which was lost; but you have ruled them with force and with cruelty.

If we apply these words of scripture to today’s church how would they apply? The scripture tells us (Matthew 9:35) And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.(Matthew 9:36) But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.
(Matthew 9:37) Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. (Matthew 9:38) Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest. We see that Jesus healed every sickness and every disease. So it would stand to reason that there is no disease that God can’t cure. Our churches actually should be healing stations I’ve stated in the past if the church were really the church than hospitals and funeral homes would be put out of business all over this country.

So what has happened? We have numerous mega churches all over the country yet where are the real manifestations of God’s Healing Power in Today’s churches? I know that God still heals and that the blood will never lose its power. However as our main scripture text points out (Matthew 24:11) And many false prophets will rise and deceive many. (Matthew 24:12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold. Have we the church in America become cold? Are we really serving God or simply going through the motions and giving lip service. I’ve noted in past posts the following (Acts 19:11) And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, (Acts 19:12) so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them. I am sure that God is healing people across this land. However I wonder why we don’t see more confirmed miracles and healings via our churches? One reason is because there probably are numerous false prophets across this country. Then some may have just forgotten their calling as they obtained status and wealth.

(Rev 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me. The real challenge for the church is to be on task when the savior comes. (Rev 2:1) To the angel of the church of Ephesus write: He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, says these things.(Rev 2:2) I know your works and your labor and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil. And you tried those pretending to be apostles, and are not, and have found them liars.(Rev 2:3) And you have borne, and have patience, and for My name’s sake you have labored and have not fainted.(Rev 2:4) But I have against you that you left your first love.

Have we as a people as a church in this country, have we left our first love? We find these words in (Act 10:36) You know the Word which God sent to the sons of Israel, preaching the gospel of peace by Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all!); (Act 10:37) that word which was published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed;
(Act 10:38) how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him. Jesus healed all manner of diseases and as we see in Acts he healed all those who were oppressed by the devil because God was with him.

Is God with us? Is he with our churches? Is he with our country? Jesus went about doing good can we as Christians say that? (Mal 3:7) From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say. In what way shall we return? Isn’t it time that as individuals as well as churches for us to return to God? On our money we find printed “In God We Trust” Is that really true? Do we really trust God? How often will we quote the scripture (2Ch 7:14) if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. It may never happen in this country but as people of God in our homes and churches we can humbly turn our faces towards heaven a pray. How many of you reading this where ever you are will accept the challenge to repent and to pray? Every illness, disease, situation or problem can be fixed by God. There is nothing too hard for him; all things are possible when we put our Faith and Trust in him. Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
