It Can Wait

(John 11:3)  Then his sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick. (John 11:6)  Therefore, when He had heard that he was sick, then indeed He remained two days in the place where He was.

There are many who live their lives constantly in a hurry rushing here rushing there always stressed out. Many just lack plain patience which is why there are so many senseless deaths. Just today as I was taking my daily walk I saw a woman speeding in an SUV texting while she was driving if it was so crucial she could have just pulled over. I recently read a tragic story of how a brother had heard that his sister had died and while rushing to the hospital he got into an accident and lost his life. Now there are some that would say his time was also up I beg to disagree. While I know that his heart was broken speeding was not going to change the fact that she had passed. There are times that we face genuine emergencies and need to rush people to the hospital sometimes without an ambulance we should still use caution.

Life brings us problems, trials, and tribulations. We get anxious because of the drama that we face. If we don’t get so much money we could lose our car, or our house, the gas could be shut off, lights shut off, water turned off and the list goes on. However look at our text here is the story of someone who is gravely ill whom Jesus loves dearly.  He is gravely ill yet when Jesus gets the news he stayed where he was at an additional two days during which time Lazarus dies.  Now I can’t imagine a more crucial situation in life. Someone is so ill that they face death it doesn’t get much worse than that. Yet what does the Master do he stays where he’s at another two days. (John 11:21)  Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. (John 11:22)  But I know that even now, whatever You will ask of God, God will give You.

Now Martha knew that Jesus was the Christ and had a special relationship with God the Father yet she really didn’t know who Jesus was so he sets the record straight. (John 11:25)  Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in Me, though he die, yet he shall live. (John 11:26)  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? No matter what you’re facing even a life threatening illness don’t stress because God is able. We don’t have to be stressed about anything because Jesus said (Mat 28:20) teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen. Jesus is always with us and nothing in life catches him by surprise. So  no matter what problem or situation in life you may be facing right now don’t get stressed. Don’t panic, don’t be in a hurry don’t be rushing into situations. Take your time and make decisions when you are not under stress. Be patient and wait on God to lead and to guide you often in life when stressed we make bad choices. We feel that we have to do this or we must do that when in fact it can wait. In all things God has the final say what you lose today God will give you something better tomorrow Be Encouraged and Blessed Minister Mike.
